Outrage | #NaPoWriMo | Day 29

women walk miles
to get water from a dried up well
are forced to tackle work and home
guilty bound by oaths, under a spell
asking for help is a weakness
she is unable to afford
for her pay is meagre
lesser than she, her rights to abort
libraries shoo her away
for the nights are full of terror
hurdles created, layered with hate
her existence a calculated error
amidst all this, heated debates happen
over short dresses and bra straps
easier to condemn for the privileged
are things that aren’t as under wraps

who decides what deserves outrage?
