Afresh | #NaPoWriMo 2018 | Day 2

As noises rumbled,
whispers brought relief
tasks piled on,
doubts aplenty.
Uterus kept bleeding
taking away pieces
trying to take over
never weakening
spirit, mind, soul.
Sore legs, neck, back,
peeling skin, rough feet
falling hair, puckered lips.
Overslept, tangled mess
always procrastinating.
Swinging heavy bags,
earphones in place
sometimes on top,
other in dark dungeons.
She succumbed
every night,
only to rise again.
To write her story
afresh.
