Closure | #NaPoWriMo | Day 30

A flash of bright, green light

blurred everything in his sight
made him tremble in the knees,
frantically searching for the keys
to get to a safer spot or place
in the arms of a familiar face
to get a chance to start over again,
make sure it wasn’t all in vain
and for a while, he almost did
with his fears that seem to have hid
behind the mighty lenses he wore,
the grim smile he carried, being sore
from all the fakeness he threw around
waiting in pain, to be found
maybe it wasn’t meant to be perfect
or hurt as much as he felt affected
he knew now that closure wasn’t an end
just his messy, rough journey’s bend.
